Making a Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.



For your added security we use PayPal to process credit card transactions for the web site. No credit card details are ever entered via this site; the screens are hosted on secure servers which meets the latest security requirements of the credit card industry. If you are shopping from outside of the United Kingdom, then place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.
We accept Visa and MasterCard and Maestro cards via phone or you can send your credit card information via fax, or post.

If any item on your order is out of stock we will contact you for further instructions. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping & Handling

Cocoon Knits value your  order and will ship worldwide, we have simplified things by introducing a small postage charge according to your order value and offer free delivery on orders over a certain value.

Standard shipping is by Royal Mail in the UK and small packet airmail for overseas items. For an additional charge UK items can be sent recorded delivery and overseas items by Air sure or ISF (these require a signature).

Postage prices do not apply to pattern books. Where pattern books are purchased an email with the correct postage will be sent for the consumers approval.

Our minimum order value is £5.00 before postage and packing is entered.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to dispatch your order to you within 3-4 business days where possible, providing everything is in stock. Where items are out of stock you will be contacted about the back order. International orders are generally received in 7-10 business days.

Back Orders

If your items is not in stock we will back order for you, we will always email or telephone you with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charge

For all orders made to the UK or the European Union 20% VAT (Value added tax) is added. Orders outside the EU are tax free. Magazines and books are exempt from VAT for everyone, our VAT registration number is 986 7291 55

Credit Card Security

We do not hold any credit card details on our website, all details are handled by external sites that provide the highest level of security as required by the credit card issuers. All payments are via PayPal and your payment details will be dealt with via PayPal standard payments which are secure and meets all PCI DSS requirements. No payment details are kept stored by Cocoon Knits, only those needed for accounting purposes.

Private Policy

Cocoon Knits does not disclose buyer’s information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used  and to store details if your select the remember me option.

Returns Policy

You have the right to cancel an order within seven days of receipt of goods, should you wish to cancel your order within 7 days please contact us quoting the original invoice number and providing we receive the goods back in good and resalable condition we will refund your money. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Display of Colours
The colours shown on the computer screen may not accurately represent the colours of the wool, due to the digital photographs and variations in computer display screens. We have made every effort to get the colours displayed accurately on high definition monitors, but we can give no guarantee regarding the colour displayed by your computer.
